IL Tutorial: Finding E-books

E-books

An E-book, or electronic book is a book whose contents are in an electronic format (American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, 2007).

The NSCC Library has access to over 20,000 e-books through several of our databases. The electronic format allows you to search entire books by keyword, subject, author or title. The keyword search greatly expands your access to information allowing you to search the full-text of a book for specific words and phrases.

To find ebooks on your topic search Ebrary. From the Library's website use the "Find It" box and choose "Ebooks" to search over 20,000 online books.

Over 20,000 online books covering all NSCC academic disciplines including Nursing and Allied Health, Computer Technology, Business, Criminal Justice, College Success, Testing Guides and Career Information. (http://library.northshore.edu/resources/azlist)
