PACAC

The PACAC method looks at:

Purpose - the reason the item was written

Authority - the qualifications of the writer

Currency - the time when the item was written

Accuracy - the absence of errors and use of reliable information

Content - the information provided by the item

PROMPT

Presentation - How is the information presented?

Relevance - What is the level or emphasis of the information? Is it geographically relevant?

Objectivity - Is the information balanced?

Method - How was the information produced?

Provenance - Where did the information come from, and who produced it?

Timeliness - Is the information up-to-date?
