NSCC's App Guide for Teaching and Learning has been designed to help faculty and students better understand and use mobile apps at North Shore Community College to enhance the teaching and learning environment. It focuses on three platforms: OS, Android, and Windows. It is organized in different categories based on what the apps can do, including: collaborate, communicate, create, engage, notate, read/listen/view, and research. In addition, the guide provides a list of all NSCC apps and resource information for using mobile devices in the classroom.
Most of the apps in the guide are free but some of them have potential upgrades that involve costs. We provided costs whenever possible and included links to the apps' websites so that additional information can be obtained.
This resource is updated regularly. Due to the dynamic nature of apps, if you encounter any discrepancies, please let us know as soon as possible by sending an email to itd@northshore.edu.
