SPE 102 Speech - Greene: Home

Welcome

This research guide is designed to help you with your assignment to provide a written speech and deliver it to the class. This speech will be 8-10 minutes and is designated as an informative speech (expository) explaining a concept, process, idea, or belief. This may include issues that are appearing in the news and on the Internet. For information of this type it is important to be aware of the date of publication of the source. Magazines, journals, and newspapers, because they are published more often, are a more important category for this type of research than are books. The best way to find this type of information is to use our library databases.

Databases are collections of articles from magazines, journals, newspapers, and sometimes books, that have been converted to electronic format for access via the Internet. Databases may be general in subject, or may be composed of information about a specific subject. To use our databases, use the tab above for "Finding Articles in Databases".
