Local history material in libraries is often not available to be checked out. You may need to visit the owning library to see the material in their collection.
If you would like to have a book transferred from one campus library to another, speak to a library staff member for assistance.
If you locate a book outside of the NSCC Libraries that is available to borrow, click on the

Newspapers can be a good source for information on your place because they cover local and regional topics.
The NSCC Libraries subscribe to news databases that contain more current articles (1980 - ).
For archival newspaper holdings, including local town or city papers, access may require visiting the local library and using their microform collections.
