Choosing a primary source

You could try to find your primary source on the Internet at one of these recommended websites, or use a book like The Grove Dictionary of Art in the Danvers Campus Library to select your primary source.

Background information

Subject specific reference sources and general encyclopedias are good tertiary sources for finding background information on your primary source and its creator.

Analysis of the source

Books, journal articles and films will offer excellent secondary source analysis of your primary source.
