Covid-19 Updates

We are here to support you. Even though the libraries are closed, your NSCC librarians are online and ready to answer any questions you may have. We will continue adapting our services to assist you during the Covid-19 Pandemic. 

Accessing the library

  • Both library locations are closed until further notice
  • During the library closure, librarians are online and available to assist you! 
  • All items checked out during the Spring semester have been renewed until September 30, 2020. Please hold on to your materials until further notice. This includes items belonging to other libraries, even if they are appearing as overdue.
  • Overdue fines will not be charged for any of these items. This includes items belonging to other libraries, even if they are appearing as overdue.
  • Any items currently on hold will be held for one week after the libraries reopen.

Can I check out materials from NSCC or other libraries?

  • Students, faculty and staff cannot check out or request books or other physical media (like DVDs) during this time. This includes items owned by NSCC's library or items owned by other libraries including the Commonwealth Catalog and Interlibrary loan.
  • Items currently on hold will be held for a week after the libraries reopen.

We realize this a stressful time and you may want access to things that aren’t necessarily school related. Here are a few resources to help you unwind.

  • For access to movies and videos online, try one of the following: 
  • If you live in Massachusetts and/or are a student here, you can apply for a Boston Public Library e-card.  The BPL online collection will give you access to Overdrive, Hoopla, and other electronic resources that provide eBooks, audiobooks, videos, music, and more!
