The Merck Manual is the world's most widely used medical textbook. This resource explains disorders and their symptoms, and how they're diagnosed, treated, prevented and possible prognoses. Professionals, students and consumers use the Merck Manual to diagnose medical conditions.

The Merck Manual is organized into sections and chapters. Most sections cover disorders of one organ or organ system. Some chapters cover a single disorder, and others cover a group of related disorders.*
