Each discipline or field of study has its own literature, lexicon, research methods, and organizations. Discipline-specific journal articles are written by experts or scholars for other experts or scholars in a given field of study. Not all academic journal articles are the same. Exposure to discipline-specific articles over time will make them easier to understand.
