Access to computer resources imposes responsibilities and cooperation on the part of the computer user (see Library Computer Use Policy). The Adaptive workstations in the Lynn and Danvers campus libraries are designed to assist users who have visual, auditory, physical, and/or learning disabilities. These workstations are reserved for those who require its special features. NSCC students are encouraged to register with Disability Services in the Student Support Center. Community users may use the adaptive workstations with the understanding that NSCC students, staff and faculty have first priority (see Community Patron Policy).
The library staff does not offer training on the use of any of the adaptive software or equipment; the user is expected to understand how to use these resources, and will be held accountable for any misuse. Training is available for NSCC students in the Adaptive Lab. Contact Disability Services in the Student Support Center at (978) 762-4000 for more information.
